When I bought my Cayenne GTS they had a tire I had never heard of. Atturo AZ850. Not sure the size you need but mine were 295/35R21. When it came time to replace I got the same tires, they were great and at around $600 for ALL four. It gave me money to spend on cat bypass pipes. Worth a look, on the Cayenne forums people rave about how well they perform.

I have the as3+ on my caprice and i think they’re great tires nev er had an issue in the rain (granted i have about half the power, but i also have half the driven wheels, maybe it evens out)

is the weight rating enough for the jeep? and do you need runflats?

I’m running the pilot sport a/s 3+ on the 3er and love them!

I’m not going to be much help beyond that since I’ve never run the p-ze4o but I did have runflat P erelli’s prior to these and didn’t like them beyond the fact that they went for 70k of mostly highway use.

What size(s) are you looking at? $300 seems steep but I imagine you're spec'ing a large size?

Looking at Tire Rack they have the 295/45-20 A/S 3+ for $273.99 or Continental DWS 06 for $330.99. Neither is cheap but those are your two cheapest options and both are quality as long as you’re not going to track your “Track”Hawk. You’d be happy with either. If the Tire Rack tests are to believed the Michelin is a bit sportier and the Conti is a bit comfier. Those are good choices. Sometimes you just gotta spend what it costs for your size.

Hell, just to get 255/35-18 rear snow tires for my 335xi because I used the stock staggered M Sport wheels I had to spend over $300 each on Pilot Alpin PA4 rear tire. Thank fully the fronts were more like $200 something. Just sayin.

I’d bet you can’t go wrong, although idk anything about the pirellis

my brother bought a 9-3 aero 2.8t that had some shitty tires on it and it would spin and torqusteer in the rain all the damn time, it has as3+ now and is much more behaved

(i’ve even driven my 285/35-19 rears in some light snow without dying so they’re a passable all season too)

I have the A/S 3+, and they are good. Way, way better than the M ichelin P remier A/S tires they replaced.

That said, I’d be willing to believe that’s what’s good for an old Volvo sedan might not be right for your monster. I only have ~30% of your power to put down, though I’m doing it with smaller tires and with only the front wheels, so the stress on the tires might be more similar than it first appears.

I’m fine paying it, just curious is the $200 delta is truly worth it for the PZeros.

It’s not. There is nothing special about those tires and they will be loud once they wear. That’s just how Pirelli tires are.

I’m assuming the P Zeros in question are run-flats because that’s what comes up in the tire rack search for your size. They’re summer tires vs the other 2 that I mentioned being UHP all season, but in my experience run-flat summer tires aren’t nearly as good as regular summers. I wouldn't spend the extra scratch on them.

They are the run flats. There isn’t much of an option in this size. An d yeah, its going from summers to all season.

If it were me I would go for the cheaper, little bit sportier A/S3 over spending more for the little comfier DWS06.

One other option to consider that’s even cheaper, but showing as special order on tire rack, is the General Grabber UHP. It’s a summer street truck performance tire. For some reason when I search by vehicle they don’t come up, but when I search by size they do.

I don’t know how well their performance compares to a UHPAS car tire like the A/S3+ but they’re only $189.79 each.

yeah, hard to drop $200 a tire MORE just for summers vs a/s. is the performance that great?  and does 707HP make difference enough to do it?  UGH
